At the age of 16, Salman ventured into university-level cloud computing studies in high school at AWS Academy Member Institutions, a groundbreaking achievement in the region. Instead of merely accepting the challenge, he approached it with enthusiasm and a passion for cloud computing, becoming the youngest and first in Bahrain to secure AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner at 16-17 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect at 17-18 while in grade 11, inspiring and supporting the next generation of students.
As the student council president and cloud computing ambassador, Salman guides over 600 students in majors such as Cloud Computing, AI, and Cybersecurity. Going beyond theoretical learning, he provides hands-on experiences through the AWS console, on-the-job training in cloud computing in the Bahrain public sector, and immersive market visits, offering a tangible understanding of real-world dynamics in the cloud computing realm.
Salman is not only engaged in major conferences like Black Hat MEA but has also spoken at the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition. Serving as the youngest and only high school student energy delegate at COP28 in Dubai, representing over 600 international delegates, he advocates for the energy transition and digital infrastructure. Salman’s focus as a student and cloud computing ambassador is on using cloud computing to accelerate the energy transition for oil & gas, particularly in Bahrain and the Middle East, aiming to reduce fossil fuels and champion a green petroleum vision. He sees Cloud Computing as pivotal in shaping the industry’s future and inspiring youth innovation.
