Chatting With Director And Founder Of Awareness Foundation, Co-Author Of The Awareness Course Broadcaster, Author Of The Culture Of God, The Syrian Jesus And Ijesus & The Culture Of God In A Digital World- The Revd Dr Nadim Nassar From London, England, United Kingdom- On a recent episode of Smart Cherry’s Thoughts, I had the incredible opportunity to sit down with The Revd Dr Nadim Nassar, a trailblazing figure as the First Syrian Anglican Priest in the Church of England. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer and the founder of Smart Cherry’s Thoughts, I’ve had the privilege of interviewing over 700 experts from around the globe in the last three years. Dr Nassar’s story, however, is truly exceptional.

He is not only a distinguished clergyman but also the Director and Founder of the Awareness Foundation, a registered charity in England & Wales. The foundation, established in 2003, is an international humanitarian charity driven by Christian values, dedicated to building peace through education and training.

During our conversation, Dr Nassar shared the profound impact of the Awareness Foundation’s two core programs, LITTLE HEROES and AMBASSADORS FOR PEACE, both aiming to equip and empower children and young people in Syria and Iraq to become agents of peace and reconciliation.

The values statement of the Awareness Foundation resonates deeply with its mission, emphasizing the empowerment of people of faith to embrace diversity and build peaceful and harmonious communities. Dr Nassar spoke passionately about their objectives, which include giving children in Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon meaningful skills and tools to regain hope, build better futures, and promote peace.

The foundation goes beyond geographical boundaries, fostering partnerships between people of different faiths and religious denominations, enabling generous, hospitable, and peaceful lives. The ultimate goal is to build bridges of understanding between the West and the Middle East.

The mission of the Awareness Foundation, as articulated by Dr Nassar, is to deepen faith, build peace, and live and demonstrate God’s generous love. As he quoted from 1 Peter 3:15-16a, “But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defence to anyone who demands from you an account of the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and reverence.”
