In his previous role as the Managing Director of North America for (ISC)², an international cybersecurity leader with over 150,000 members, Brian handled various responsibilities, including enterprise/inside sales, events, and membership/industry advocacy within North America (USA & Canada). His contributions were particularly notable in promoting the CISSP certification, showcasing his proficiency in navigating the dynamic cybersecurity landscape.

Brian’s journey also includes serving as the Director of Business Development & Venue Planning at the SANS Institute, his current employer. In this capacity, he played a crucial role in business development, sales, marketing, event management, and contracts. As one of the early employees at SANS, Brian played a pivotal role in introducing new products such as the onsite department, press room, cleared intelligence division, and key processes for hosting numerous events throughout the year. Additionally, he served as the first account manager for large corporate and government clients, showcasing his instrumental role in the institute’s growth.

Before joining SANS, Brian spent six years in the trade show industry, where he actively contributed to marketing, speaker bookings, and logistics for military, government, and corporate events. His versatile background also includes a three-year tenure on the Starwood Advisory Meetings Board, where he played a key role in implementing new products, marketing strategies, and providing consulting services for one of the leading hospitality companies in the industry. Brian Correia’s extensive experience underscores his multifaceted contributions to the cybersecurity and events management sectors.
