Chatting With Improver, Mobile Horizontal Lead And Software Craftsman At Mindera- Pedro Vicente from Porto, Portugal- For over 15 years, Pedro Vicente has dedicated himself to the world of coding, tirelessly hitting keys on a keyboard in pursuit of functional code. His journey began in the realm of mobile development even before the advent of iOS and Android, but he swiftly embraced the Android platform when it launched in 2008. Thus began a thrilling rollercoaster ride, with Pedro single-handedly developing pioneering mobile applications for Telco companies in Portugal. In no time, he expanded his horizons, assembling teams and spearheading the development of numerous apps in the domains of banking, retail, and telecommunications.

Simultaneously, Pedro actively engaged in sharing his knowledge and expertise. He served as a Mobile instructor, educating aspiring developers in the pursuit of their Bachelor of Science degrees. Additionally, he played a vital role in establishing the Mindera School, a nonprofit educational institution empowering young adults to become developers through a one-year paid scholarship program.

Throughout his journey, Pedro collaborated with diverse individuals in various contexts, ultimately leading him to create LoopGain—a revolutionary methodology designed to enhance team dynamics, foster effective feedback loops, promote leadership skills, and facilitate personal growth. His ultimate goal was to improve team and technology-related processes, making work a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

In 2020, Pedro co-founded “O Que Arde Cura” (What Burns Heals), an initiative that livestreamed individuals consuming exceptionally spicy food from around the world. This innovative approach aimed to crowdfund financial resources directly for non-profit organizations aiding people in need during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the demanding nature of his endeavors, Pedro finds solace in spending quality time with his wife and actively pursuing knowledge in the field of education. He is eager to apply his learnings to benefit his three children and create a nurturing environment for their growth and development.
