Legislative and Regulatory Services and Author of “The Pale-Faced Lie” – David Crow from Washington, District of Columbia, United States- I interviewed David Crow, President and Founder of D.C. Legislative and Regulatory Services (DCLRS), for my Smart Cherrys Thoughts podcast.

David founded DCLRS in 1991 as a full-service government relations practice with expertise in legislative and regulatory affairs. His talented team works with clients in a wide range of policy areas including agriculture, climate policy, energy, international, labor and immigration, pesticides and fertilizers, small business, transportation and infrastructure, and water policy.

He is also the author of the memoir The Pale-Faced Lie, which tells the story of his life growing up on the Navajo Indian Reservation with a violent father and a mentally ill mother. The book has sold over 170,000 copies and has been published in 14 languages. Publishers Weekly called it “a truthful and ultimately empowering missive about the long shadow cast by an abusive parent.”

In our conversation, David shared how his journey as an author connects with his career in government relations. One powerful message he left me with was:
